EXPERIMENTAL TYPOGRAPHY

Collection of my typographic projects I created in my experimental typography class, where I experimented with digital, analogue and kinetic typography.

PROJECT 1

This project is choosing 10 scenes from the movie ‘Mean Girls’ and adding the dialogue within the scenes to create typographic compositions. All images are retrieved from fancaps.net.

PROJECT 2

The concept behind these compositions are digital-analogue typographic exploration for nine words: Insecure, Victimized, Disturbed, Insane, Rage, Demented and Broken.

These are stereotypical words to describe people who listen to rock/metal, thinking they are dark and troubled people.

In reality, they are sweet, caring and gentle people that have bright personalities, which is reflected in the use of sans serif and brush typefaces, bright colours, sweet foods and soft objects/textures in my typographic compositions.

PROJECT 3

A stop-motion animation spelling out three colours: pink, blue, green, using coloured beads laid out on a design pad. I decided to use the French translation for those colours: rose, bleu, and vert, that way they all have the same width and height to be centered in the middle of the composition.
